Although they are seven years a part, LeBron James and Brian Windhorst have had very similar career paths. For starters, both James and Windhorst graduated from St. Vincent-St.Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. Then the two traveled to Cleveland together as LeBron became the youngest player in the NBA in 2003 while Windhorst was the youngest traveling beat reporter for the Akron Beacon Journal.
Now LBJ and Windy are in South Beach where James is a 2x World Champion and Windhorst is one of the most popular writers on ESPN.com. On this episode of the Game Time podcast, I talked with Brian about what its been like to follow around the Chosen One since age 14, Delonte West’s Twitter rant about him and his brief career as a varsity golfer. Brian claims his mom still has his letterman’s jacket.
