A few years ago, it looked like Tatum Coffey was going to be playing college lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts. However, UMASS’s coach bolted for Ohio State and Tatum was left with the dilemma of finding a new school. Coffey eventually found a home at Penn State University where she is a star lacrosse player for one of the top teams in the nation. Tatum’s athletic prowess is just a small part of her story. The New Jersey native ultimately dreams of patrolling the sidelines as a reporter for ESPN.

On this edition of the Game Time Podcast, I talk with Tatum about her path to Penn State, becoming a premier lacrosse player and training to become a sports broadcaster. We also chat about our internship experience at ESPN, Tatum’s idols in the sports media industry and what life is like when dating the starting quarterback of the Penn State football team.
